New options to protect your assets from the high cost of
home healthcare and long-term nursing care.
#1. 7 out of 10 people over the age of 65 will need some form of long-term healthcare in their lifetime.
#2. One year in a private room in a nursing home costs $105,645 today and is projected to reach $245,649 in 20 years.
#3. The average retired couple spends about $15,000/year on health care, of which more than half goes to Medicare premiums. And the average retired couple will spend somewhere between $259,000 – $395,000 (excluding home healthcare and long-term nursing care costs) during their lifetime.
#4. The Family Caregiver Alliance estimates that 40% of the 13 million people receiving long-term care are between the ages of 18 and 64.

This philosophy is derived from his 30 years of working at solving the complex issues of retirement, in combination with his history of success in a wide variety of entrepreneurial, sports and artistic ventures. Steve has an estatblished practice in Buffalo Grove, IL, the home office of SGL Financial. He holds an MA in Economics, a Registered Financial Consultant (RFC), and a Certified Estate Planner (CEP).
In forming SGL Financial, Steve draws from a wealth of different venues as an accomplished tennis professional, opera singer, business person in upper management with Federated Department Stores, teaching of economics on the college level, and a philisosphical world view based on the highest levels of integrity and continuing desire to be of service to other human beings.
